Breakfast Briefing: Ways to Increase Office 365 Security and Protect Your Cloud Resources

Recent years have seen rapid change in the way IT Services are delivered to end users with a dramatic shift towards cloud-based applications and services that enable us to work remotely whilst on the go. Office 365 is now at the heart of Modern IT services and security around Cloud Services must adequately protect the data without impacting user experience.

Identity is key to managing the security effectively, but traditional two-factor authentication (2FA) is failing as attacks get more sophisticated. The need to surpass 2FA is now clear, with Cloud Services now protecting some of the most vital and sensitive data and documents. Although 2FA is better than static username and password, we’re seeing an increase in sophisticated credential replay attacks and other tactics used to circumvent it. With 58.4% of sensitive data in the cloud stored in Office documents, a data breach or hack could be devastating without a secure solution in place to protect it.

Delegates joined us at The Ivy, City Garden on the 30th April from 08:30 – 09:30 for a full English Breakfast and for discussions around:

  • How Identity is at the heart of Cloud Security solutions
  • Why Identity security is no longer about static passwords and RSA Tokens
  • The fact that Office 365 is under attack and how to mitigate these risks
  • Ways to increase authentication to protect key cloud resources
